Kiln Damage Policy

Pottery Kiln Damage Policy

Pottery is a wonderful process, but it also comes with natural risks—especially during firing in the kiln. Even with great care and experience, pottery pieces can sometimes crack, break, or glaze unexpectedly due to factors beyond our control, such as:

  • Air bubbles or trapped moisture
  • Uneven thickness of clay walls
  • Stress points in the design
  • Glaze reactions during firing
  • Normal kiln variations in temperature

Because of these risks, we cannot guarantee that every piece will survive the kiln.

If your pottery is damaged during firing:

  • We will do our best to work with you so you can recreate your piece in a future class or open studio session.
  • Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for kiln damage, as it is an inherent part of the pottery process.

We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to enjoy the creative journey as much as the finished piece!
