About Me

About Me

My name is Sydneye Trudics, and I am the owner of Crowfoot Pottery.

My pottery journey began years ago when I took a college pottery class and instantly fell in love with clay. Then, as often happens, life carried me in other directions—and it wasn’t until retirement that I was finally able to return to this passion.

I began taking classes at the wonderful Cowee Pottery School, where my teacher, Tammy Hathaway, encouraged me and gave me the skills and confidence I needed to grow as an artist. I often say she gave me my wings to fly. After about a year, I began teaching at the school myself and also served as Vice President of the school’s board.

Eventually, I yearned to bring a pottery space to my own community of Cashiers, NC. As a retirement gift, my husband built me a beautiful studio on our property—a serene space where creativity, learning, and community come together.

At Crowfoot Pottery, I love sharing the joy of working with clay and helping others discover their own creativity.
